Equi-Gold Iron Tonic Plus

Formulated to treat and prevent iron deficiency anaemia in horses.

A readily available source of Iron as Ferric Ammonium Citrate Plus Folic Acid and QT® Zinc, Copper, Cobalt and Manganese, as organic complexed bio-available trace minerals, in a palatable caramel base.

QT® Organic Mineral's Copper, Zinc and Manganese are bioavailable organic complexes that play a crucial role in the physiology of exercise and metabolism.

The haemoglobin in red blood cells give the blood the ability to carry oxygen from the lungs to muscles and other body tissues. If haemoglobin is low then less oxygen is transported and performance may be inhibited.

Most commercial feeds are adequate in iron, however, performance and stabled horses, without access to green grass and on a grain diet, require extra supplementation of a readily absorbed iron like Iron Tonic Plus.

Rapidly growing young foals or horses have a definite requirement for additional iron. This also applies to pregnant/lactating mares who should receive additional iron supplementation to avoid the occurrence of iron deficiency anaemia in their foals.

Each litre contains:
12.5gm Ferrous Ammonium Citrate, 260mg Folic Acid, plus QT® Organic Minerals providing 1.5gm Zinc, 528mg Copper and 840mg Manganese with 54mg Cobalt on a caramel flavoured base.
