Feline leukemia virus (FeLV) and Feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV) are retroviruses affecting cats worldwide. Infection of FeLV or FIV can cause a variety of clinical signs and impact the quality of life and life span in cats. The American Association of Feline Practitioners (AAFP) recommends that all cats be tested for these viral infections at the proper intervals based on the cat's risk assessments.

How much blood is required for a blood sample for the FeLV FIV test?

We recommend collecting at least 0.25 ml of blood in the 0.5 ml EDTA tube.
