Action:
Copper is an essential trace element and cofactor in many enzyme systems. The polysaccharide complex protects the copper from ruminal antagonists such as molybdenum, iron and sulphur, which enables the copper to pass into the small intestine where a predictable level of absorption occurs.
 
Indication:
A copper feed additive for cattle, horses, pigs and poultry for prevention and treatment of copper deficiency, especially secondary copper deficiency due to high levels of dietary molybdenum, iron and sulphur.
 
Contraindication:
Do not feed to sheep or related species. Do not use at the same time as other forms of copper.
 
Toxicity/Overdose/Antidote:
To avoid the risk of copper toxicity assess liver copper levels before commencing treatment. Copper toxicity may occur in cattle with liver damage.
 
DOSAGE:
This product provides 127mg elemental copper/g.
 
DAIRY and BEEF CATTLE: Feed 1g daily.
HORSES: Feed 0.5-0.75g daily.
PIGS: Add 180g/tonne of complete feed.
POULTRY: Add 180g/tonne of complete feed.
